				<title>Corporate manslaughter law now in force</title>
				<description>&lt;p&gt;From 6 April a new offence for prosecuting companies and other organisations where a gross health and safety failure has caused someone's death comes into force. The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 is a landmark in law and the culmination of ten years of campaigning by unions and other groups.  It means directors and senior managers will find themselves under increasing scrutiny if work-related deaths happen as a result of gross corporate failures.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
